WIN tickets to The Big Freeze Winter Family Festival in Melbourne!

Win tickets to the Big Freeze Family FestivalAs the winter school holidays approach and we start considering what activities we might get up to, a trip to the snow is usually raised as a possibility. Because you know what? My girls have never seen snow!

Each year I plan to take them and each year I put it into the too hard basket when I consider the time it takes to organise the trip plus the cost of kitting us all out with snow clothes and other gear, whether they be hired or purchased.

But this year there’s an easier and cheaper option – the Big Freeze Winter Family Festival!

While I usually try to keep costs down during the school holidays, I do like to factor in at least one exciting trip out with my girls each week … and this festival is certainly something fun to add to that list!

The Big Freeze Winter Family Festival will be held from 2-10 July 2016 at the Cranbourne Racecourse in Melbourne, with families able to enjoy hours of fun activities such as a snow pit, snowball toss, winter inflatable slide, snow village and forest, workshops, craft, construction play and more.

Tickets cost $28 for children aged 2-12 years* or $16.50 for adults, children aged 13-plus years and toddlers aged 1-2 years who will be entering the snow play zone.

*As a bonus, all children’s tickets (those aged 2-12 years) include a four park pass to Phillip Island Nature Parks (Penguin Parade, Antarctic Journey, Koala Conservation Centre and Churchill Island Heritage Farm) valid until 25 December 2016.

  1. The Big Freeze Festival sounds absolutely great
It would be a big hit with my daughters aged 11, 6, and 8!
Hubby and I would have a great day out too
There’s workshops and performances, so much we could do!
It really seems like it’d be a great day out
And we’d be overjoyed at the Big Freeze Festival, without a doubt!!

  2. What a great opportunity for Victorian dwellers! Sadly it’s a bit far for me to come but like you, I would love my kids to see the snow. My hubby is keen to do a trip to NZ so hopefully we’ll be able to manage it one day soon.

  3. It would be great to take my family for a day out at the Big Freeze Festival. My children never saw the snow and this would be a great opportuniy for them to enyoj all the winter activities offered at this wonderful winter event. ❄⛄📷🎵🎡🍔❄⛄❄⛄

  4. My family would so love to attend the Big Freeze Festival! My little (very energetic) boys aged 3.5 and 1.5 have never seen the snow before and I would just love to see their faces and have fun with them throwing snowballs. We sing the Frozen songs constantly so it would fantastic to actually build a real snowman and not just sing about it! 🙂

  5. I have never seen the snow
Even if its fake, I want to know!
The kids are in the same boat
The Big Freeze, will need a coat.
Lots for the family to see and do
A great day out for them, and me too 😀

  6. To catch a chill!

And to see my little boy’s face when he see’s and feel’s snow for the very first time.
He is 2.5 years old and while he may not remember it in years to come, I would love that memory for me and the new experience for him.

  7. I would love to take my family to the big freeze, what a giant snowball way to have fun!!! I would love to throw snowballs with my girls at the snowball toss and make big snowman, what an awesome day it will be!!!

    snowmen and snowball fights,
    will bring them such delight!
