Using natural cleaning products to help keep my home clean and tidy is really important to me.
So when I was recently introduced to Little Innoscents’ new Clean and Green cleaning range while attending the Kids Business bloggers brunch event I was keen to give the products a try in my home.
For some time now, I have been making my own cleaning products to use around the home. Not only do I find this better for my and my family’s health, particularly my asthma, but it’s super budget friendly not having to buy store bought cleaning sprays.
However, on occasions when I do choose to buy cleaning sprays I like to make sure these are as natural as possible.
The Little Innoscents Clean and Green ranges features a multi-purpose spray, dishwashing liquid, laundry liquid and fabric softener.
I love that these cleaners are made in Australia without any nasty chemicals. They are plant-based made with 100% natural and botanical ingredients, free from phosphate, ammonia, nitrate and chlorine.
I am particularly impressed with the multipurpose cleaning spray. Not only is it beautifully packaged allowing me to happily keep it on display near the kitchen sink, but the lavender and orange scent smells so good and I found it cut through kitchen grease and grime quite well too.
Actually, a friend of mine commented when she visited recently about how lovely the scent was after I wiped down the kitchen benches following dinner preparations. It’s almost like you get two-for-one – with a cleaning spray and air freshener in one!
Similarly, the dishwashing liquid also smells great and cleans the dishes really well. I also found that a little goes a long way which is always a bonus.
In the laundry, with a one-year-old and another daughter who suffers eczema, I am rather fussy about the type of washing powder or liquid I use when cleaning my family’s clothes. It definitely needs to be suitable for sensitive skin and as natural as possible. In the past, I have also used modern cloth nappies, so it’s been important that its free from brighteners, whiteners, enzymes and so on too.
The Little Innoscents laundry liquid certainly ticks these boxes. It has a lovely eucalyptus and cherry coconut scent when you sniff the bottle, however I only wish the fragrance was a little stronger or longer lasting as I didn’t find the scent lingered on the clothes after the wash cycle was finished as much as I had anticipated. Overall, the liquid seems to wash the clothes well and didn’t leave behind any obvious stains. A little also goes a long way here, with only 20mls needed per wash cycle.
The only hiccup I had with the laundry range was that I found the fabric softener to be rather thick and it didn’t completely empty from my front loader machine’s dispenser at the end of the wash cycle so I’m not actually sure how much of a difference it made to my washing. Although in all honesty, I don’t tend to purchade or use fabric softener all that often.
Overall, I was impressed by the Little Innoscents Clean and Green range but my favourite product is definitely the multipurpose cleaning spray.
I think it would also be great to see the range expanded to include a floor cleaner, as I can only imagine how devine my home would smell after using that!
